When she lowered her mouth, intentionally leaving him with a kiss that left her breathless, she pulled back just far enough to stare into his eyes. “I’m just trying to be polite by giving you a break and then I’ll be wanting more. Not unsatisfied lover. Greedy.”

Sebastian pushed his hands into her hair. “Fuck being polite,” he muttered before branding another kiss on her lips.

Quite frequently on Twitter, people will mention some great new recipe they’ve tried or post pictures of something they’ve just cooked or baked. The result is a number of followers asking for a recipe. Those with a web site will post it on their blog, and others will simply post the recipe to Twitter.

It struck me that what better way to promo ourselves, our recipes and our books than to combine them all in one place? So in a stroke of mania (yeah, I do have those bouts. Don’t judge me. lol), I grabbed a Blogspot address, a domain name, a Twitter account, a Facebook page and an email address… all belonging to RomanceCooks.com. The next day I rigged an icon for it too. I sent out a call for participants and in under 24-hours, every slot was taken.

So, starting February 1st, you can go to RomanceCooks.com (add it to your blog reader!) and check out a new author with one of their favorite recipes. Some authors have linked the recipe to a book, even.

I’m not sure if this will be as well received on the reader-side as it has been on the author-side, but I absolutely love the idea and stand behind it 100%. Hopefully, with enough interest I’ll be able to most posts from one a week to two a week. (Any more than that I think is overkill, but that’s just me.)

He ran his lips over the sensitive skin of her thighs. Alice twisted beneath his scorching touch, almost as if he branded her with his mouth, a moan spilling from her in approval. “Would it be such a horrible way to die?”

Growling, he pushed up. Demanded his body to heed the command to rise. There was a split-second of victory, when he was certain he could move without collapsing again. But as he looked toward the back door, figuring it would only take half a dozen steps to make it inside, his vision narrowed. And pain exploded down his back.

Bast screamed, unable to hold back the cry of being tortured by a body that was no longer under his control.

Walking with the silken grace he’d adopted after becoming a warrior, he changed direction to go to the kitchen. There was a disquiet within him and perhaps a good old fashioned snack of cookies and milk would help calm what ailed him. Of course, it didn’t take a psychiatrist to tell him that the munchies had little to do with food or even blood.

“What’s gotten into you?” he muttered to himself as he stood at the large butcher block island. When was the last time a woman—damn it, especially a human—had made him feel this way?

There was a full sleeve of Chips Ahoy sitting in the pantry, untouched, but Bast knew he could plow through a dozen of them and that achy craving wouldn’t be touched.

The words managed to penetrate the haze of her mind. She kept stroking him. Memorizing the length of his promise. “Even if I want it?”

	Say My Name by Tatiana Caldwell Little does Ms. Caldwell know, but I’d read this book long before she’d given me a copy for review. Of the three stories, this one comes closest to following the original story, but Ms. Caldwell doesn’t disappoint by adding an erotic twist. Anna meets Goblin, who spins straw into gold for her. But for every time he does this favor, he wants a sensual one in return. By the end though, Goblin wants more than her body–he wants her love. Spoiler alert (highlight with your mouse to read): The baby she has is Goblin’s; not the King’s! In this novella, the story of Anna and Goblin is sweet, even as they are driven apart by the King. The secrets weaved into the story add another level of conflict, which keeps the reader turning the pages. An entertaining read.
	Demon Lover by Bonnie Dee & Marie Treanor This unusual story asks what might have happened if the Queen failed to guess Rumpelstiltskin’s name and he took the baby with him. Any mother worth her salt goes after her baby, of course. Demon Lover is a full-length novel which takes the time to grow a relationship between Gwyneth and Ragnorak. It’s a very unique tale in that it starts at the end of the Rumpie story, but she isn’t able to guess his name! Ragnorak takes her baby to his world and Gwyneth follows. Ragnorak is a very compelling hero who isn’t any good with women and is trying to do what’s best for his people. Watching him grow was a delight. Loved the dedication of Gwyneth to do what’s best for her baby. By the end of the story, you’re not sure who to root for: the King or Ragnorak. (Actually, it’s pretty easy, but yanno what I mean.)
	Bitter Gold appearing in the anthology, Bound Among the Stars, by Jennifer Leeland & Mima Mima is a favorite author of mine. Her world building skills are almost legendary. It’s no surprise that she takes Rumpelstiltskin’s story to a sci-fi level. I’ll admit that this story was slow to start for me, BUT I will say I think it was because of the sci-fi twist (which is a genre I don’t generally read). There is slavery and sexual addiction wrapped around aliens and a strange, beautiful world. And here, Liese, once she finishes the task will only meet death. In this version of the class fairy tale, both Leise and Stillskin are doomed, and only have a chance of survival if they work together. Their dedication to each other, from the very first chapter, is so “aww”-worthy that you’ll find yourself rereading this tale. And jeebus, the sex… *fans self* There’s a lot of action and adventure, so if that’s more your speed, this will be the novella for you.
