I opened my email yesterday to find the one that I’ve been waiting for. It was the email that told me the upcoming release date for CAREER OPPORTUNITIES . As for my other writing, well, my brain is just not cooperating. I have started to write two additional stories that I’ve been toying with. If you look left, you’ll see the titles: THE FALLEN 2: NEPHILIUM and BEAUTIFUL LIAR. I’m fully plotted for both stories…have everything lined up and all I have to do is type. Why is it then, the only thing I can concentrate on is THE CRAFT OF THE WISE 3: DUELING BODIES? I awoke from a sound sleep this morning with all sorts of dialog going on in my mind as well as the beginning for TCOTW 4 going full throttle. I haven’t even heard back from the publisher on the first book! I thought it would be wise to work on something else until I heard back, but I guess no such luck. Guess I’ll take advantage of my unofficial ADD and work on all three (possibly four) over the next couple of weeks. Enh. What are you gonna do?

I am still so excited about the last two weeks. There were some great video trailers posted here! During that time, I also received the new cover art for my upcoming release, CAREER OPPORTUNITIES. Right now, I’m having some technical difficulty getting the page up on this site where you can get freebies for this erotic vignette (available next month!), so for now, enjoy the video that I made.

Last week I got into a huge argument with the customer service people of the bank I’ve been with for sixteen years. SIXTEEN years. You would think that would get me a little courtesy. Nope. Nothing doing. So guess what? Besides shutting down that account, now I’m going to rob a bank.

Before you go siccing the FBI on me, I’m talking about in my next story! Although this incident with my bank is actually kind of coincidental (because I’d already started working with three other authors on the Den of Iniquity series (see my progress meters) - more on the series later). But, boy did they give me a great personal reason for a bank robbery. And so off to Google I went: How to rob a bank; Bank robberies; Bank plans; Bank blueprints; FBI archives; Spy equipment…

And then it struck me. If anyone is monitoring my internet activity, I’m dead meat.

So I decided I’d better publicly announce my intention to write a story (and not actually plan in real life) about a bank heist. If the internet had existed in J. Edgar Hoover’s time, writers would still be rotting in jail cells. So tell me, if I ran a history on your Google or Wikipedia activity, what kind of stuff would I find there? Any of it have the potential for jail time? lol.

Of course, by now you know that Soldier released this past Friday. And you also know that I received a contract for Career Opportunities. Well, yesterday, I received another contract for The Fallen!!

The Fallen will be released by Cobblestone Press under their Wicked erotica line. It is a very, very dark tale about a fallen angel who seduces a woman into doing some things she normally would not do. The ending is so wickedly corrupt that I have plans to write a sequel just to try to redeem our dark “hero”. If you’re looking for sweet, this ain’t the story for you.

And speaking of dark, do you think that what a writer prefers to write about is in line with their true personality? I’ve been vowing to edit a Christmas romance for weeks now and I cannot seem to find the mood to do so. Instead, I am finding ways to twist current works in progress into stories that make your eyebrows shoot up. I added two sentences to Dark Forest Nights before I subbed it that echo in my mind still. Pure evil, I tell ya.

I guess it’s like when you get in the mood for one of those movies that make you pull out a box of Kleenex and you consciously choose to watch it, knowing what kind of blubbering mess it’ll make you. Right now, my train of thought has entered strange and forbidden woods. You might want to bring along a flashlight and a weapon if you care to ride.
