The books are well written, engaging, and imaginative. I love the mix of vampires, werewolves, Fae, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Harry is so real that you hurt for him. A lot. LOL So don't judge the book by the TV series. The books (especially from about book five on up) are great reads. And if you haven't read Karen's work, then you definitely should. Ward with a passion. The other two authors who never disappoint me are Karen Marie Moning (I love her Fever series) and Jim Butcher.
